PARTNERS IN HEALTH: NEW BACK OF SHIRT SPONSOR

AFC Wimbledon Women are delighted to announce that our new back of shirt sponsor for the 2023/24 season is Partners in Health, via John Green and Rosianna Halse Rojas.

Partners in Health is an organisation close to Green and Halse Rojas, with Green sitting on their Board of Trustees.

Partners in Health are a “social justice organization that responds to the moral imperative to provide high-quality health care globally to those who need it most. [They] strive to ease suffering by providing a comprehensive model of care that includes access to food, transportation, housing, and other key components of healing. [They] bring the benefits of modern medicine to those who have suffered from the overt and subtle injustices of the world, in the past and in the present. [They] refuse to accept that any life is worth less than another.

Rosianna and John said, “We are tremendously excited to sponsor AFC Wimbledon Women for another year and that the players will be wearing the Partners in Health logo on the back of their shirts. We have followed and supported Partners in Health for many years now, with a particular focus on their work to reduce maternal mortality in Sierra Leone and to treat multi drug resistant tuberculosis. We can’t wait for the beginning of another amazing season for AFC Wimbledon Women.”

AFC Wimbledon Women’s General Manager, Sophia Axelsson, said “we are so proud to continue our valued partnership with John and Rosianna, and to continue highlighting all the incredible work Partners in Health do across the globe. At AFC Wimbledon Women we are inclusive, and strong advocates for equality – which is just what Partners in Health strive to achieve on the health care scene. We wear their logo with pride”.
